Downtown Bloomsburg Inc. Manager

Barbara began in May, 2006 as the paid staff of the new organization created by the Chamber to focus on the revitalization of Downtown Bloomsburg.  Her responsibilities include working with the Board of Directors to ensure the sustainability of the program and addressing the four major areas of downtown revitalization as outlined by the National Trust for Historic Preservation by working with committees of dedicated volunteers.  Heintz has experience in marketing, project management, and market research. Since moving to the area in 1996, she developed an interest in historic preservation and took it upon herself to attend several statewide workshops and conferences focused on downtown revitalization. Through these events, she developed an understanding of the different components of an effective downtown program.
